So I finished her

I have been working on this painting for a little while now.  It is for an online class over at Willowing.ning.com.  It was a class that I signed up for when I signed up for Life Book 2012.  I have to say that I have wanted to take some classes for quite a while and finally took the plunge when I recieved some money for my birthday.  I have really enjoyed the classes so far and I am really impressed with how this came out. I thought about giving as a Christmas present, but think that since it is my first, I will keep it.

I will keep painting though, and I have other classes coming, but for now, here she is...

I used paints, water colors as well as acrylics, Derwitt Inktense pencils as well as there water color pencils, stencils, stamps and Lindy Stamp Gang sprays.  Would love to hear what you think.

New Blog

Well apparently I hadn't blogged for so long that my old blog deactivated and I can no longer access it.  But that is okay a new art adventure, a new blog. 

For about a year now I have been getting into Art Jounaling which has led me to want to learn more about drawing and composition and color.  It has also led me to a new group of supplies.  Which is never a great for the pocket book. LOL.  But I do enjoy that along with new art supplies, I can use the old ones with art journaling as well.

I am participating in my first art class and it happens to be on line, which is nice, and it is a preemptive strike to the year long class called  "Life Book" which has many different teachers, many of whom I have admired their art and can not wait to learn from.  When I purchased this class I chose the option that allowed me to purchase 3 other classes at a reduced rate.  So this picture is from one of those classes called Fabulous Faces.  I have never really drawn anything and I am enjoying it beyond belief.  Especially since I really like how my "assignments" are coming out.
